Wolf Pup Howls To Snake River Packmates….

This melted my heart. The wolf pup was howling for its pack and seemed so surprised when they howled back.  The pup is a member of Oregon’s Snake River Pack.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  2. Yes,indeed. It is truly a gift and appreciated by all those, who have yet,to be able to see or hear them.It is not hard to find the tears, for the sound is so endearing. Thank you,Nabeki.

    • You are welcome Rita, we need heal our broken hearts and remind ourselves what we’re fighting for.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  3. That is a wonderful video. It is also sad. I can’t help thinking about all the little ones who may howl and have no families left to answer. I guess that doesn’t occur to the hunters or it doesn’t matter.

    • Me too Marcia, so many little pups that don’t have families to howl to ):

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  4. Just seeing this video gives me hope. That little wolf is the future generation of the few wolves left in the wild. Thanks Nabeki, the video is wonderful and it made me feel uplifted. Tonight when I settle down for rest i will envision that little one howling with his family. :)

    • I was hoping for that Bert. We’re all so hurt, we need to have little light and that pup was pure light.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  5. HELENA – Federal officials say they are investigating the poisoning deaths of four wolves and six eagles found in May in Montana’s Bob Marshall Wilderness Area.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said in a statement Monday that the animals were found near the Big Prairie Ranger Station. Recent laboratory results concluded that the animals died of poisoning, and officials are seeking information that will lead them to those responsible.

The agency is offering a reward of $2,500 for information that leads to a conviction.

The Fish and Wildlife Service is investigating along with the U.S. Forest Service and the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Information can be phoned in at (406) 329-3000 or 1-800-847-6668T

    • These are the true americans that only care about their own views and they take action ,this is the enemy and their tactics

    • Here we go, now it’s poison. I’m sure the eagles were collateral damage. What cam we expect when the agencies who are supposed to be watching out for the welfare of wolves, abandoned them to their enemies to torture, abuse and kill. How they sleep at night is beyond me. I blame the USFWS, Salazar, the US Senate and the Obama admin.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  6. I so loved the video; I shared (posted it) on FB. Maybe it will help these wonderful creatures. Thank you for posting it!

    • You’re very welcome timpotom…the little wolf is a bright light in a dark time.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  7. thanks for posting this! it was just so moving and I sincerely hope he gets to live a FULL and LONG life :-)

    • equusarian01…The pup is certainly in a better place in Oregon than the other Northern Rocky states but even there wolves are not safe from the persecution of the livestock industry.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  8. I suspect the poison was meant for the wolves and since eagles lunch on the carcass of wolf kills, they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.Yep, time for the Feds to move in. The video is wonderful.

    • I totally agree on the eagles Bobette…those horrible people don’t care what they kill in their pursuit to slaughter wolves. Relisting is the only answer yet “crickets” from the USFWS!!!!!

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  9. This is so sweet. Very nice to see a wolf not maimed or dead. May this wolf live a full happy life

    • My wish too Brigid.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  10. Some find my manner of thinking strange because to me this wolf pup is akin to a human child lost and separated from his/her own in the forest. Naturally that child is going to yell, cry out, and do whatever is necessary in an attempt to find their family. I suppose I think this way because I raised two very Hi%age wolf dogs and know how important family is to them. They are anything but ordinary dogs!!!

    • wolfeagle1028….Your thinking is not strange at all. Wolves are sensient beings who deserve respect. They are dedicated to their families, probably better parents than many people. The people who lust to kill them are soulless idiots.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  11. So so sweet! I will hope and pray for him!

    • Donna…they need our help so much.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

    • Agnes..the pup was so sweet. Looking around when the pack howled back. Just adorable.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  13. love the video – they had on one of tv channels in San Francisco and loved it! hope he hasn’t been killed yet!

    • Pat, this video should be shown everywhere.

For the wolves, For the wild ones,

  14. Watch a pup look at somewhere and listen follow and start howl then stop listen again howl ….. So sweet a pup! Stay safe Pup!

  15. I hope that Pup finds his family pack, I hope and Pray he stays safe!

  16. At least they are in a better state, and thank you for all your hard work Nabeki

  17. Awwwww <3 That was just way too cute! SAVE THE WOLVES.
