Wolves Howling Methow Valley, Washington

Listen to the Lookout Pack in Washington’s Methow Valley.  It’s music to my ears.

“We listened for a voice crying in the wilderness. And we heard the jubilation of wolves!” -Durwood L. Allen

“When Conservation Northwest Executive Director, Mitch Friedman, his children, and nephew joined state and federal biologists to check in on the Lookout Pack, Washington’s first pack in over 70 years, they were treated to quite a chorus!”

    • Hi Rita….I could listen to it all day. Jerry B. sent it to me in an email and I thought I should post it for everyone to hear. It’s wonderful. The best part is this is the Lookout Packs second litter. Only one pup survived out of last years litter, one was shot, maybe more. So to hear this second litter howling their little howls is just amazing.

  2. Such wonderful news! A real pleasure to read, after the recent tragedies and wiping out of wolves here in Sweden.

    • Katerina…..I’m going to add the slaughtered Swedish wolves at the wildlife park and the 30 Swedish wolves that died in the hunts to my wolf memorial page.
