Wolf Medicine

WOLF MEDICINE:

Intuition, Learning, Spirit

“WOLF totem brings faithfulness, inner strength and intuition when he enters our lives. But he also brings learning to live with one’s self. The wolf teaches us to learn about our inner self and to find our inner power and strength. But to achieve this, we must take risks and face our deepest fears.

A wolf totem demands sincerity. This totem demands a lot of us but gives us much in return; a spirit helper that is always there to help and gives us extraordinary powers of endurance. He reminds us to listen to our inner thoughts and trust our insights. They remind us not to waste resources and to learn how to avoid trouble and confrontations.

People with Wolf totems have the capacity to make quick and firm emotional attachments. Trust your insights about these attachments. Wolf will guide you. Take control of your life with Wolf’s help and do so with harmony and discipline.”

These are wise words. Listen to the flute and think of the wolves. We have so much to learn from them.  HOWLS!

I think I’ve listened to it about twenty times now. It is so soothing, glad you enjoyed it. We have to take a break sometimes from the bad news and contemplate the wonderful animal we are fighting for.

  3. Thank you for this very informative website. I wish people would take the time to understand these magnificent animals. I have the privilege and honor of volunteering at a wolf sanctuary in Colorado. I can not put into words what is like to be near these animals or to receive a “wolf kiss” from them. They have so much to teach us, if humans would only listen. I feel blessed to be able to spend time with the wolves and wolf-dogs. I just wish people would take the time to become informed and allow the wolves to be where they belong. Thank you again for all of the information you provide.

    • Hi Becky,
Glad you enjoy the site. You have a wonderful volunteer job and the pleasure of spending your time with wolves. They are such amazing animals and so misunderstood. I’m trying to get the word out and not always focus on the negative. Wolves contribute so much to the ecosystems they inhabit. One day the tide will turn and wolf advocates and wildlife watchers will have their seat at the table. We won’t always be on the outside looking in.

      Thanks for reading.

  4. Nabeki, That was a nice article. I too learn from the wolf. We could learn so much if we would just stop and think for a moment. Give these creatures a chance and be more tolerant. M

  6. How could you not get the value and beauty of the wolf?

I wish there wasn’t so much unfettered ignorance and bad propaganda regarding wolves… how do we amp up the intelligence in people? This extermination happened 100 years ago- how can we let it happen again?

The same mindset that exterminated wolves the first time is alive and well today in the West. I have no idea how to change that dynamic. I think people are born and raised in that culture and never waiver from it. The only thing I can think of is, as David Mech says, is to outnumber and outshout them. Reasoning with them is futile.

  7. Thank you Nabeki for another wonderful video. I thought the words from above “how to avoid trouble and confrontation” was ironic. Wolves should be living in peace and yet, trouble seems to follow them through no fault of their own. I was inspired to find more videos, so here’s a link to more wolf watching. Such majestic animals….

    • GREAT VIDEO Lyndell…..So beautiful. I love looking though wolf videos. There are real gems on youtube if you search for them. I found one that is amazing but has a scene at the end where wolves are fighting each other and I think it kind of ruins it…but the rest is great. Let me know what you think. Here it is:

  8. Good video. Yes, the fighting is hard to watch – I’ve always felt bad for the Omega’s. I especially liked the part where they were running through the snow – they are so fast! I found a wolf preserve in Florida where you can actually interact with certain wolves there. I’m hoping to drive over to Florida at some point to visit; if I get a chance to be that close to a wolf, I will be so thrilled. And thank God for sanctuaries – it’s so important to educate people on the reality of the wolf’s existence, not the hysteria you get from the ranchers.

    • Hi Lyndell,
I think it’s actually two wolf packs fighting. Not really sure but I love the wolves running. That’s my favorite part of the video. As you said they are amazingly fast.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy viewing wolves at the preserve. They are beautiful to view up close.

  9. Not only is it important to educate people on the reality of the wolf’s existence, thank you Nabeki!!!! Its also important to take advantage of the coalitions out there willing to do presentations. Visit the Lords of Nature website

and see if they can do a screening in your area.

  10. Hi Sweets – Great videos. I think it’s good for all wolf advocates to expose ourselves to their “whole being”. I have a deep and abiding love and admiration for wolves. Watching them fight and even kill each other is hard duty but it’s all part of who they are. My respect doesn’t end because some of their natural behaviors aren’t easy for me to watch.

    • Hi Cindy,
I really love that video. One of the reasons I was hesitant to show it was because I don’t want to give the wolf haters any more propaganda to use against wolves. But they are territorial and do fight each other. Of course that is only one part of their nature. I love them for who they truly are. I agree wolves must be accepted in their totality. They are the most incredible animals.

Thanks for stopping by and reading. Hope all is well with you.

  13. I love wolves to death. I would do anything to save them. No offense of course, but humans have done enough to taint this planet as it already is. Hunting was indeed usefull in the old days to keep animals from over populating, and there were so few resources to keep warm, but nowadays they just hunt for sport. Not only that, they tear apart the forest in which other animals live in. It’s not about survival anymore. It’s about having a ‘hobby’, and having something ‘fun’ to do in the mountains, or it’s a sport to kill.

    • I love wolves to Alessandra, I hope one day things will change and that we will stop with the killing of wolves. Wolves are just like us, they live in packs which is like a family to them just like we do, I’m really sad to see all these pictures of hunters and dead wolves, foxes, coyotes etc and hope that all these b******* have justice served to them, what did that animal ever do to derserved to be killed by them; Nothing, it’s just there way of life and nobody can ever change that. Anyways, I hope you know the message I’m trying to say to you and to anybody else who reads this message let the spirit of the wolf live on and on forever.

Take care my sister wolf Alessandra,
      From your brother wolf Matt
