Wolf Warriors

HOWLS EVERYONE

I created a FB page called WOLF WARRIORS. The link to it is on the right hand side of the blog under my other FB link.

Truth be told it’s been several months since I created it but it’s been tough to find time to publish a FB page with all the bad wolf news that happens almost on a daily basis.

Wolf  Warriors will be an extension of this blog but also goes further to empower us as wolf advocates to come together and work toward solutions to problems that face the gray wolf. We are all very frustrated right now. We write letters, emails, make phone calls, write to the editors of newspapers but wolves are still being slaughtered. The reason for that is the people that hold power over wolves lives are listening to hunting and ranching interests and not to us. Wolf  Warriors are many, all around the world but we are not organized. And because we’re not organized we have very little power. I feel your frustration every single day and know you want to do more then write and email. So do I.

We have to organize, there is strength in numbers. So with my little blog and FB page I’m hoping we can grow to become a real force to be reckoned with. I don’t have all the answers. I’m doing my best to spread the word and keep you as informed as possible about what is happening concerning gray wolves but we all want to do more then just react to every wolf killing.  We need a voice , a voice that will matter to wolves, not just in the Northern Rockies but to wolves around the world.

So lets get started.  A 10,000 mile journey begins with the first step!

Remember what the famous anthropologist Margaret Mead said:

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”….Margaret Meade

  8. Hello- I am a member of Northern Idaho Wolf Alliance and plan to attend the 9am forum in Dillon MT next Tuesday. I’m looking for information re: the unusual sheep kill that occurred near Dillon a year ago. Do you have any local contacts in the Dillon area or know anyone who looked into that incident? I’m trying to document whether there were any precursor events that would suggest that unusual sheep kill might be indicative of retaliation or revenge. Please e-mail me if you have any information. Hope to meet you in Dillon at the mtg. Thanks.

    • Hi Bill,
You’re a brave soul going to the Dillon meeting. I’m sure they’ll be talking about the sheep incident ad nauseum. But I do have a little knowledge about it. I also know there were discrepancies in the reporting. I have an article disputing wolves kill for sport that I can send you. Wolves sometimes surplus kill but they don’t kill for sport.

      I’ll email you.

  9. living in montana we are witness to blatant abuses of the endangered species act both by private parties and federal agencies..seems like the penalties for such violations should also apply to everyone.

    • Kate very well said. They are used to having their own way and now people are challenging their outdated “wildlife management” policies. We have to keep it up.
