Save the wolf protest

Monday 3:00pm until 7:00pm

 Idaho Fish & Game

600 s. Walnut Blvd. Boise, Idaho

Non-violence protest including music and prayer as tools of protest.

We can’t put off another protest there is no time for the wolf. Please join me for another protest lets do it big lets do it right. Stand up for the wolf its time for us to fight.

Bring your drum bring your voice. Rainbow Warriors let us put our faith in actions.

Years ago my parents took us to Academy of Natural Sciences in Phila., PA and I met ‘Jethro’, a gray wolf and to this day I have tried to fight for wolves but most especially since those idiots in Congress that de-listed the wolves off the endangered species list- and who do the stinkin cattleman and what I call poor sportsman association’s bidding ZI have been so upset that I cannot read some of the torture they are doing to the poor wolves. A quote by Thoreau says it all “An animal (wolf) killed in jest, DIES IN ERNEST”. They are trying to eek out an existence and are more afraid of man than not. They do less environmental harm than livestock. We need these top predators. This country’s mentality is going backwards. Please know my prayers are with you and thank you for your time for wolves.

    REZT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be transmitted to all ALEC members , all state Governors, and Members of appropriate Congressional Committees. ”

    Please write to MT FW & P and tell them that this brutal killing of wolves is cruel and unnecessary. Since the Wolf Hunting Season ended in Montana, there have been few sightings of wolves and limited conflicts with elk and livestock. There has been an increase in conflicts involving bears and mountain lions and recently an attack in Kalispell involving domestic dogs. Special hunting groups want to trap the wolves because they can sell the pelts to Canada and make money from them (as was done by poachers in Washington State).

      The Canadian govt needs to be called out as they also invested
      3 million $ in baby harp seal pelts this spring. Canada is investing
      in the fur trade. Check the website of Humane Society International for details on the harp seal pup kills, if you are interested.

    Here is what I commented.
    Thank you for the prohibition of auctioning animal pelts and products obtained by inhumane methods. I am asking Ebay to ban sale of all hides, as trapping, snaring, poisoning, hounding are all painful and often involve hours or days of suffering. Images on trapping websites, uploaded by trappers themselves, provide brutal images, often with sadistic text about their exploits. Additionally, there seems to be an increase in poaching, in general due to the poor economic times.There have been several articles on the increase of poaching of all wildlife due to the poor economic times. Trapping has been banned in 88 countries. That it is allowed in the US is a national tragedy for animal welfare.

    FYI: if you find a pelt in the auction listings, there is a ‘report this item’ button. The listing will be investigated per the guidelines.

    Thanks to those who could make the protest in Boise. I thought about it all day, with good thoughts. I wish we could set a time and have ceremonies across the nation, stand-downs across the nation. Mayday?

They must gain their federal protections back, wolves cannot survive in any meaningful way without federal protection.
