Think Of Wolves Over This Holiday Weekend!!

A great pro-wolf  rally was held in Coeur d’ alene yesterday. It brought a huge crowd of dedicated wolf activists. Thanks to my friends Ann Sydow, Brett Havestick, Dr. Catherine, Nancy Taylor and so many others who worked  hard to make the rally a success.  Thanks to Bella the husky, who was a star of the rally.  Bella lost one of her legs due to a disgusting snare. She is a hero to all of us.

If the the wolf hating crowd thinks we are going away they are sadly mistaken. Yet today Wyoming wolves were officially delisted. This will  allow wolves to be shot on sight in 90% of the state.  Thanks to the Obama administration we now have wolf hunts in 5 states and Michigan just introduced a wolf hunt bill in their state House of Representatives.

Thinks may look bleak for wolves but this is only temporary. We will fight until our last breath to see their ESA protections restored. Take heart wolf advocates.

I will be off and on the computer until after the Labor day weekend. Think of the wolves in Montana who will be shot with arrows, dying gruesome, painful deaths.  Wolf bow hunting season starts in Montana tomorrow and runs into October. Pups are not off limits.  Think about Idaho wolves who are being hunted as I type this. Think about the wolves in the Great Lakes who will suffer the same fate.

We live to fight on. Do not lose hope. we are working behind the scenes to effect change for wolves!

About 70 rally in protest of Idaho wolf hunt

COEUR d’ALENE – Idaho’s wolf management plan, said Dr. Catherine Feher-Elston, is not working.

That’s because, she said, “it’s not management.”

“It’s killing, it’s slaughter,” said Feher-Elston, a naturalist and wolf advocate who spoke at what was both a pro-wolf rally and protest of Idaho’s year-round hunting season on wolves Thursday at City Park.

“We have to fight to stop this,” she said.

About 70 people attended the gathering that included speakers, songs, a dog that lost a leg to a trap, and a presentation of how to release pets from traps. There were signs that read “Stop the Slaughter” and “Wolves Belong,” while many wore shirts with pictures of wolves.

And while folks, literally, were howling at times, the meeting was mostly calm, but for a few moments when a man who supported wolf management arrived and began recording some of the speakers.

    As for the rally, I’m so glad a lot of people were there. I was wondering if the wolf haters would show up and disgrace themselves further, but I guess not.

    we do not to take protective action en masse as well as diligently pursuing the relisting of wolves…

    it does not suprise me that haters and killers who do the work of the Devil mock us and laugh at us and call us names…..consider the source……I frankly don’t care what they call us or what they think…why would I? I do not respect them or like them….I loathe them and wish they would all immediately go to Hell where they are destined to go…I just would like to see it happen sooner than later so more innocent lives are spared….to be called a name by the Devil worshippers (which is what they are) is what I would rather have happen instead of their murderous actions……I would rather be called a myriad of names and see no harm come to any wolf….

    May the Lord protect the wolves and make all of the traps and snares disintegrate and all of the arrows and guns backfire…each and every one so only the killers are killed….Amen..

    Traps should be outlawed. When I visited the California Wolf Center several years ago they had a trap there on display to show us how awful they were, and I hoped it would stay a remnant of shameful history. Never did I think its kind would be used again for any animal.

      My Best Friend and I not only thought of Wolves, but visited one of the BEST County Parks. The Park recently aquired 2 Grey Wolf pups. Brothers. Hunter and Scout. Both are Buff colored. Hunter was LOVING his ice block (it was almost 90 degrees F). The most beautiful copper eyes I have ever seen. I will have photos posted on Trip Advisor soon.         outcry and continue to brutally, sadistically torture and kill wolvers
        indiscriminately; including pregnant moms, lactating moms and pups.
        Wolves are social intelligent animals. They mate for life. Who but a
        follower of Satan’s behaves like this? Sanctioning this so now Wyoming
        will replicate this horrific war on wolves is going against both
