    • Very beautiful. What is one lesson to take away? Powerful white men killed the Native Americans. Powerful white men kill the wolves.

  7. You can measure the level of a people by the way they treat animals; a lot of the humans in these western states are actually the real animals. There will be a what goes around comes around moment for these killers. But it doesn’t help the sadness and tragedy.

Every piece of beef bought and consumed supports the industry funding this slaughter.

  12. Thank-you, Nabeki. I have danced the Ghost Dance. And I wrote about the Ghost Dance in Ravensong and I believed the prayers were being fulfilled with the ESA and the return of the wolf. I still pray and dance the Ghost Dance (Father’s dance) but it is with a divided heart now. Blessed Samhain,Catherine Date: Wed, 31 Oct 2012 09:45:05 +0000 To: ravensonggroup@hotmail.com

  13. Absolutely beautiful music & people.
It seems everyday that passes, that’s all I can think about are the wolves that are fighting to survive. My heart breaks.
Thank You Nabeki for the beautiful sounds & images.

    • You’re so welcome Sandy. The massacre of wolves and Native Americans is linked in time. The Lakota danced the Ghost Dance and were punished for it at Wounded Knee.

    • Hi Bobette, I’m sorry that it has taken me this long to find you/get back to you. My life consists of working, showering, eating & sleeping. That is Monday thru Friday, then we have the weekend, which kinda melds into sleep & doing stuff (if the weather is nice) outside, or cleaning house. I’ll look you up in the tell-e book.

      🙂

  15. I know that this is kind of irreverent (again) in regards to gray wolves, but will you guys spend a few minutes or so and sign this petition to stop coyote hunting in red wolf habitat? Since North Carolina allowed night-time coyote hunting back in August, two – I repeat, TWO – red wolves were illegally murdered. Not only will banning coyote hunting (both in day and night) protect these critically endangered wolves, but it will also protect coyote welfare. Plus – and I don;t know if this is true, but – I’ve read somewhere that biologists are trying to use fertility control on coyotes in red wolf habitat, and hunting would interfere with this by killing sterile coyotes – thus allowing reproductively active coyotes to move in and breed with the wolves.

    The petition is here: https://secure.defenders.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=2503
