Scientists to Obama: Don’t End Wolf Protections

This is a ploy by the anti-wolf cabal to take the heat off state wolf hunts by diverting our attention to a national delisting of the imperiled predator! It’s a transparent ploy but one that works because we can’t allow them to delist wolves across the lower 48. Consequently, it drains our energy by having to fight one more battle, while wolves in 5 states continue to be hunted.

There are no depths to their evil.

  2. Stop the brutal / animal cruelty & discrimination against wolves! Wolves are very healthy to the environment. The natural nature will be no more when wolves are gone. Stop cruel trapping, Stop wolf baiting, Stop Wolf Trophy Sports, Stop the cruel throwing wolves out of helicopters!!!!!!!!
    Hate is a crime!
Hating animals & crimes against them should be against the law. All inhumane crimes against wolves should be illegal.
    Listen – Scientists are educated.
Wolf Murdering does not require an EDUCATION . Wolf murderers are NUTS WITH GUNS!!!

    • Hate is not a crime. How many of us hate those who kill innocent animals — and rightfully so. Misdirected hatred is the crime, and we see it every time a wolf is murdered by some dirtbag simpleton who never got his life together and who feels impotent without his “trophies.”

  5. Nabeki, that is an interesting comment. I was wondering why anyone in their right mind would even consider taking the endangered status off the rest of the states where there are virtually no wolves. So you think it’s just a ploy to make people expend their energies and forget the hunts? Well, it didn’t work. The sickening, disgusting murder of wild dogs is still very much hated by many of us. It must stop and we will continue to fight this horrible practice. Like I’ve said before, you are dealing with people who don’t follow the law. But at least we have to have something in place so that there are consequences if and when they get caught. A perfect example of the type of people who hunt wolves is that they don’t even stop when they see a radio collar on an animal which is proof that someone is studying it. they have no regard for life or law. It is discouraging and impossible to work with such people. Imagine how the biologists feel when their subjects are just slaughtered for no reason and sometimes even illegally. The whole thing blows my mind.

  9. How I wish people would start leaving the wolves alone. I have never understood why we want them gone so badly. These animals are beautiful creatures and part of the nature just as any other animal or even the human beings!

  10. Your so spot on while we fight every state to keep the ESA it takes away from the central issue of hunting and trapping of wolves in the west, this hurts fighting for the wolf in the western states.

  11. I knew that scientists would eventually stand up for the wolves, I just knew they would! They finally found the courage to stand up for the biology and to resist unscientific governmental action! The fight to get politics out of science is on! This makes me happy beyond belief! But…

URGENT NEWS: the USFWS is officially moving forward with its plans to delist the gray wolf nationwide: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/08/science/earth/gray-wolves-no-longer-need-federal-protection-obama-administration-says.html
