A thousand blessings upon our beloved warriors
who attended this glorious event. 🙂
I didn’t have any means of transportation
to attend the rally, and so I’ve created
my own personal wolf rally videos and posted on
YouTube to share on Facebook, near, far, and wide
in solidarity of the main rally event in D.C.
I’m very pleased of the HUGE turnout in D.C.
and I’m hoping there will be more rallies like
this one, with a greater multitude of howlers
in attendance. 🙂
Our noble battle is not over until our precious
wolves are protected again and for all time.

If I had the money and means to get to DC, I wouldn’t have hesitated to go. I’ve got some ideas on how to punish those responsible for this wild genocide that I would’ve loved to read there.

Reblogged this on Exposing the Big Game and commented:
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) just announced an extension of the comment period to October 28– as well as Washington to be one of the few locations for a public hearing on their proposal to delist nearly all gray wolves in the Lower 48.
We need you to stand up and make your voice heard!

Yes Jim…I love how the USFWS picked just three sites for public hearings far enough away that people who live with wolves won’t have a chance to to make it. There is a Sierra Club petition demanding USFWS open more sites for hearings. I’ll have to find it and post it..they have 34,000 plus signatures already.

Nabeki, how many people participated? Was there any publicity? I didn’t get to see any news yesterday. My health doesn’t allow me to travel or I would absolutely have been there.

I think around 150 plus… I don’t have an exact number but it was a nice crowd…frankly more than we’ve been able to gather in the last four years. I think rallyforwolves will keep going and organizing rallies. We need to keep the wolves in the news and on people’s minds especially with USFWS trying to hand them over to the states to be eliminated completely.
There was a write up in the Huff Post:

It was so emotional to be there and felt like we were there for each and every wolf and their friends whose numbers are growing and we are getting more and more vocal. The howling we did at the capitol and the drumming was incredible and fitting end to a day full of riveting and emotional speeches. Many thanks to our organizers Bob and Laurie …It was courageous and a lot of work and worth every day every hour and minute you put in to it the effort showed and the wolves will be saved from the Slaughter if we continue to give our government no room to say “No” It is simply ignorance and really bad science. Plus they have population numbers based on 2009 census before their atrocious a cruel hunts were allowed.
We can do this and we must do this for our brothers and sisters the wolves!
