Elephant Nature Park
“Elephant Nature Park is a unique project set in Chiang Mai province, Northern Thailand. Established in the 1990′s our aim has always been to provide a sanctuary and rescue centre for elephants. The park is located some 60km from the city, and has provided a sanctuary for dozens of distressed elephants from all over Thailand.
Set in a natural valley, bordered by a river, and surrounded by forested mountains the area offers a timeless glimpse of rural life.”

I have been to the Elephant Park north of Chiang Mai, and it was one of the most wonderful things that I have experienced in my life. I support the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, and paint pictures of their elephants for them to sell and make money to help the fight against poaching.

I love it! Elephants know the joy of life. They know love. They know compassion. They know kindness. They are light-years ahead of my species.

If I ever get the chance to take this trip, I would be the happiest person ever! I just love seeing these elephants calm, relaxed and able to do what makes them happy and to stay in their families. I just love this story and am going to pray that I will one day take this beautiful trip to spend time with the beautiful elephants.
