The story of Yellowstone’s O6 Female, the iconic Lamar Canyon Pack alpha, who was shot and killed outside the park by a hunter, on December 6, 2012.
We all still mourn her and the thousands of unsung wolves who’ve been slaughtered since the wolf hunts began in 2009!
But this year we can give thanks that Wyoming and Great Lakes wolves are protected once again under the ESA. A tremendous Christmas gift for wolves, wolf advocates and all who value the natural world!

Happened to see it Sunday evening. Such a beautiful wolf,brave and strong. Surviving through so much and then to end up the way she did left me crying!! How horrible humans can be! I just hope and pray her daughter can be just like her but with a better ending!! Keep these films going!! People need to see wolves as they really are,not the monsters some people are claiming them to be!!

I love the news and it made me so happy, but now I am afraid for the wolves. I know that the wolf haters are going to try to get this overturned. They are discussing what they should do already. Why can’t these wolf haters see how important wolves are and that they are not the vermin they are trying to make them out to be and that they are not the killers of the numbers of livestock that these wolf haters lie about and exaggerate. It is heartless and cruel.
