Contact The Infamous 81 Senators Who Voted To Delist Wolves In The Northern Rockies

April 15, 2011

Please make sure you  contact the 81 Senators who sacrificed the Northern Rockies gray wolves, especially the Democrats who betrayed their party and wolves for Jon Tester’s Senate seat. Only three Democrats voted no.

Let them know not only did they throw wolves under the bus but they gutted the Endangered Species Act and opened the door for any species to be delisted that gets in the way of  someone’s political agenda. Further tell them  you’ll be changing your party affiliation to Independent. They’ve done irreparable damage to the Democrat party and Endangered Species Act. We’ll  keep them updated on the coming wolf hunts and slaughter. Too bad they didn’t do their homework and only listened to one  side of the story before they made their fateful decision.

This delisting included Montana and Idaho (with no judicial review), parts of Washington, Oregon and Utah. Wyoming was not included in this bill. Wyoming was delisted later by Ken Salazar, Interior Secretary.

*Wyoming Delisting

“In August 2012, 15 months after the gray wolf was taken off the Endangered Species list in Idaho and Montana, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced it is officially handing over management to the State of Wyoming as well (read Wyoming’s revised wolf plan here and GYC’s comments on the Wyoming plan here). The flawed plan will be in place by Sept. 30, 2012, in time for Wyoming’s hunting season on wolves to begin Oct. 1. Read our comments on the proposed hunts here.” Greater Yellowstone Coalition

*Senate Republicans Who Voted No On The Budget/Wolf Delisting Rider

*Please don’t assume these Republican Senators are wolf advocates just because they voted no on the budget/wolf rider.  Because so many Democrats supported this bill, many Republicans, who did not support the budget bill but were in favor of wolf delisting  felt they could safely vote nay on the bill, knowing it would pass anyway.

Tester’s howling error

Congressionally delisting wolves could gut the ESA

by George Ochenski

Montana is already a national laughingstock thanks to the Republican legislature’s blatantly unconstitutional efforts to nullify federal laws on everything from guns to currency. Now comes Montana’s two U.S. Senators, Democrats Jon Tester and Max Baucus, who will only exacerbate the problem as they seek to congressionally exempt wolves from the Endangered Species Act—a precedent that may well make the act itself extinct.

Plea To US Senate: Don’t Abandon Wolves to Brutal State “Management”!

WOLF WARRIORS

https://www.facebook.com/WolfWarriors

ASK THEM TO PLEASE READ THIS POST. TELL THEM HUNDREDS OF WOLVES WILL DIE BRUTAL DEATHS IF THEY VOTE YES ON THE BUDGET DELISING BILL. WE HAVE TO WIN THIS FOR WOLVES.

WE ARE WOLF WARRIORS AND WE ARE MIGHTY WHEN WE UNITE!!

This hard-hitting DOW video demonstrated the brutality of Sarah Palin’s Alaska wolf policies, when she was governor.  What people don’t know is wolves are aerial gunned in the Northern Rockies by Wildlife Services every year. The same suffering that befalls Alaska wolves is repeated in the Northern Rockies.

I wonder if Senators know legislation was proposed recently in Idaho that would place a $500 bounty on wolves’ heads.?

Final Draft of Idaho Wolf Legislation

February 26, 2011 — Ken Cole

Legislation rescinds the 2002 Wolf Management Plan and calls for $500 per head bounty on wolves.

THERE IS NO WOLF CRISIS IN THE NORTHERN ROCKIES!

The wolf delisting  rider is all about pandering to the ranching and hunting lobbies  for votes. Wolves are very popular with the American people. It’s a small, well-funded minority that wants them gone. And I do mean gone.

Before wolves were relisted, in August 2010,  Montana planned to raise their wolf hunt quota from 75 to 186 and add a wolf archery and back country rifle season. Idaho wanted to add baiting, calling and trapping to their brutal bag of tricks.

Idaho extended their 2009 wolf hunt to March 31, 2010, right through wolf breeding and denning season. The hunt was originally planned to end on December 31, 2009 but Idaho commissioners voted to keep it going until the end of March, A SEVEN MONTH LONG HUNT. Does this sound fair and reasonable to you? What fate do you think is waiting for wolves if they are delisted with no judicial review?

Wolves are social animals, in fact they are included with humans and African lions as three of the most social species on earth.

If you pass the budget wolf delisting rider,  not only will  wolves be killed  in the hundreds, splitting families apart, leaving pups to starve or worse but much of  the killing will be done with malice! The haters don’t just want to kill wolves, they want them to suffer!
