This is a must read article written by Michael Leach on the brutal, heavy-handed treatment Yellowstone’s iconic bison are receiving. We can thank the members of the Inter-agency Bison Management Plan, including the National Park Service, USDA-Forest Service, USDA-Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service, Montana Department of Livestock and Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks. Shame on what you are doing to Yellowstone’s bison!!

We keep regressing and not progressing.Just wait until the cattle and sheep ranchers go after the elk for passing some disease.

That’s not going to happen Rita because the brucellocis scare is a red herring. The ranchers want to keep the bison prisoners in Yellowstone because they don’t want them competing with cattle for grass. This is just a convenient way to it. It’s the only thing that makes any sense.

Sickening.
Yeah… what a real manly cowboy…
If that mother buffalo had actually landed a hit, the only creature I’d feel sorry for would be the horse.

This is really beyond the pale John. What they’re doing to the bison is absolutely horrific. Just seeing them cramped in tiny pens, they must be so scared. I can hardly stand to look at it.
